Mesa Community College Selects Paradigm’s Learning Solutions for Microsoft® Office 2013

ST. PAUL, Minn. (October 2, 2013) Paradigm Education Solutions, a leading provider of computer technology course solutions in higher education, recently announced that Mesa Community College (MCC) in Arizona has adopted several of Paradigm’s Microsoft® Office 2013 textbooks and its SNAP Web-Based Training and Assessment program to use in a variety of Computer Information Systems (CIS) courses. The textbooks MCC selected include:

These course solutions will instruct more than 1,800 students and assist more than 50 instructors at MCC each semester.  Through Paradigm’s textbooks and SNAP application, MCC will fully meet the Arizona State University standards that shaped MCC’s course competencies. Paradigm will equip instructors with SNAP, an easy-to-use training and assessment program for online assessment and grading, as well as budget-friendly textbooks that are increasingly in demand for price-sensitive students.

Linda Hein, Paradigm’s vice president and publisher, said, “We are pleased to assist Mesa Community College in providing its students with print and digital tools that will train them how to use the Office suite the most effectively for academic, professional and personal use. We’re also thrilled to provide instructors with SNAP, a tool that will save them significant time managing their courses while giving them more insight into students’ progress.”

Paradigm was the first educational publisher to release Microsoft® Office 2013 textbooks this year. These textbooks use a variety of instructional approaches to suit the different learning styles of students.

  • Guidelines to Microsoft® Office 2013 uses a guided, step-by-step approach for learning the essentials of Office 2013 with clear, easy-to-follow instructions.
  • The Benchmark Series provides a case-based, certification approach for building a working knowledge and introductory skill level in each Office 2013 application.
  • The Marquee Series provides a highly effective, visual approach to learning Office 2013 and graduated instruction that allows students to move from easy, step-by-step learning to validating skills through realistic projects.
  • Our Digital World combines online activities and textbook resources to create an innovative, hybrid learning experience that appeals to contemporary students who want to do rather than simply read.
  • Each of these textbooks are packaged with SNAP, the only live-in-the-Office application and learning management system available for teaching Microsoft© Office 2013.
